Services

• Editing for books, essay outlines, essays, stories and all of your other editing needs, with flexibility to meet the needs of your schedule and deadlines
• Consultations (i.e. help getting started, organising your thoughts, formatting suggestions, content advice, etc.; can be done in person or online according to your preference)

Qualifications

• Honours Bachelor of Arts, University of Toronto (2019)
• Double-major in English and History
• Graduated With Distinction
• Particular courses: ENG 389Y1 Creative Writing
• Graduated with honours, Turner Fenton Secondary School
• Ontario Scholar (for having achieved at least 80% in 6 university-level courses)
• Highest Achievement Award in EWC 4U0 (The Writer’s Craft) and CHY 4U0 (World History)
• Extensive editing experience
• Freelance editor - 10+ years
• Editor at The Spectatorial literary journal - 2 years

Notes for Students

• While I'm happy to edit papers on any subject, as previously mentioned, my specialty is in English and History
• I can help you best if you send me your paper at least two days in advance of the due date
• If you can provide me with the details of the assignment, I can better tailor my editorial comments and suggestions to the requirements of your particular assignment

Rates

• For standard editing (i.e. two days or more before a deadline): $5.00/page
• For last-minute editing (i.e. one day or less before a deadline): $7.50/page
• For a consultation: $15/half-hour

Policy on Plagiarism

Covers are for musicians, not writers. If you've found an idea or phrase that you love in someone else's work, make sure you properly recognise the author in your writing. My job is to help you clarify your thoughts and words; for that to work, they must be yours. I cannot edit anything I suspect has been partially plagiarised, even in part, and if you are a student or associated with an institution, I may be forced to report my suspicions. Keep your work honest, and I'll help you keep your work sharp.
